A Friend for Christmas Book Review

Carpinello's Writing Pages is participating in the Pump Up Your Book blog tour for A Friend for Christmas. My grandkids are doing the book review. Before we get to that, here's some information on the book:
About the Book:

Title: A Friend for Christmas
Author: Mike Martin
Publisher: Mezzo Publications
Publication Date: Oct. 20, 2023
Pages: 26
Genre: Children

Good things come to those who face their fears.

Robbie Rabbit lived in a warren in a big city with his wife Rowena Rabbit and their nine kits. He called it their rabbit apartment. Robbie and his family were hunkering down for winter when an unexpected visitor makes an appearance.
A Friend for Christmas is the heartwarming tale of a very brave rabbit who faces his fears and makes a new friend at the magical time of the year.  He learns that friends can come in all shapes and sizes and Robbie and his family discover the joy of Christmas.
This beautifully illustrated book is suitable for children of all ages. Especially those who still believe in the magic of Christmas.
“This lovely fable tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a family of rabbits and a gray cat named Whisper. In these war-torn times, it’s an important reminder of our innate ability to choose live over fear.” - Amazon

Our Reviews:

7-year old: "I like it because it is about friendship. It has my favorite animal in it (a cat). It has a bunch of details. It has a bunch of veggies in it. And, it is around Christmas."

8 3/4-year old: We didn't get this all read. We will add more next week. Here's what she said so far: After trading reading paragraphs with her grandpa, she wanted to read it all herself. After several pages: "I didn't think I was going to like this, but it's a good story!"

10-year old: For one who loves graphic novels, this was all he would say, although he didn't leave until the story was done!! "It has my favorite animal (cat) in it!"

5th grade teacher: "Heart-warming story about finding an unexpected friendship. When the rabbits put aside what they've been taught to fear and trust their instincts instead, an amazing friendship is formed."

All were in agreement that this is a good book for kids!
